Don't Drink the Water

We decided to take a little trip to down town Portlandia and see what was going on there. We had about an hour or so to kill before we needed to get back and put the little boys down for their naps. We found this neat riverside park and decided to stroll along it. Right now Bridger will get pretty my hysterical over his love for water so we thought that it would be a good idea... it turned out to be an incredible idea because we came across this fountain garden. We didn't bring any swimwear for him and our amazing parenting kicked in to say "what the heck lets just let him run amok". He absolutely L-O-V-E'ed it. Here is some video that we captured.

Part 3:

He was running and playing and sipping it was great... great until we saw a sign that says do not drink the water it could be contaminated with human and animal waste like pool water. Oopsie doo. Kids drink POOl water all the time right? Bridger is doing fine. Bad Water 1 Bad Parents 0.

Seeing the Sights

While my mom was still in town helping us get settled we went to a few places around Portland to get familiar with the sights... First up: Multnomah falls is gorgeous and a fun hike. We did it last year while we visited Christine and Garrett so it was fun to come back again and this time with my mom (and Mason too :).

Bridger loves his carrier and feels on top of the world :)
Mason was also such a good boy and loved tasting his carrier haha

Here we are at the top of the falls...such a pretty view!

This is the vista house and the gorgeous view below

We also went to the Portland temple and walked around and just enjoyed the beautiful day.

Bridger wanted to just jump right in. Good thing Taylor was there!

Christine and Tommy came with us too
Mt. Hood (that will be a future adventure :)
...and just this last weekend we went downtown Portland and saw these fountains so we thought it would be fun to let Bridger play in them. He had a blast! It was pretty fun to watch him.

Mason just relaxing and watching Bridger run around too
We love Portland so far!

The BIG move!

Moving was a lot of work but now that we are all settled in up here in Portland, Oregon, it seemed to have all flown by. A big thanks to everyone that helped us watch the kids (mom), help pack, load (thanks Colton and Dad!), drive cars (Debbie and Grandma) and get on our way! Not to mention all the unpacking as well (thanks to all the neighborhood kids too :) We love and appreciate you all!
Bridger had a lot of fun with the big truck
Tay driving the big truck the whole 12 hour drive
unpacking... (we love our place by the way...pics to come in the future)
Bridger was a good little helper :)
Mason too...he just stared and slept a lot (I love this one of him all sprawled out haha too cute!)
Thanks to the Grandmas for both being there for us and staying a couple of days out here. We miss you already!

Marathon Posting!

Just a heads up to those of you who may follow our blog. We have been busy bees lately with Mason's blessing (look below), moving to Portland, and all the fun we've been having so far.... so get ready for a lot of posting in the next couple of days! Love to you all!

Mason's Blessing

What a sweet memory! Mason was blessed in my parents home and it turned out to be such a neat experience to be in such a little intimate setting surrounded by close family and friends. Blessing Mason there was such a tender experience and we are so grateful to all who came to be a part of it with us. We love you all and hope to share in many future memories with you.
Mason we are so grateful for you and couldn't imagine our lives without you!

Taylor gave such a sweet inspired blessing and I'm so grateful for him in my life. What a great father!

Once again thanks to all our family and friends who came...here are a few pics we could capture during the festivities...
